Cape May LifeGuard Stand Struck By Lightning

On Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend we had thunder and lightning start around 5pm and run until about 2am.

It turns out that one of the lightning bolts stuck one of the lifeguard stands on the beach in Cape May.

This is a great reminder that when you hear thunder or see lightning it is important to get off the beach.

The coffee house in Cape May, Coffee Tyme, investigated the damage on the lifeguard stand and recorded a video. Check it out below!
