On February 24th The Russian Army invaded the peaceful country of Ukraine. Since the invasion, Russia has done some horrible things such as bombing schools, hospitals, daycare centers, homes, and apartment buildings.
This has caused over 3 Million Ukrainians to have to leave their country and seek refuge in countries like Poland, Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
With many Ukrainian families located in Cape May County, Lynne Catarro and Janet Spada wanted to come up with an event to help out these families.
They are now putting together The Wildwoods WalkAThon for Ukrainian Relief. Their mission is to raise $5,000 whereas 100% of the funds will go to Ukrainian Relief.
Join them on Monday, April 18th, at the Bryne Community Recreation Center the WalkAThon. You will try to see how many laps you can get on the track outside within the three hours time limit.
If you are looking to participate you must fill out the intake form HERE. Every person who walks is required to make an Entry Fee Donation. This can be done via mail or in person.
They are also seeking corporate and Business sponsors. For Donations of $100 or more, you can have your company name and logo added to their banner.
To donate as a corporate sponsor, reach out to Lynne Catarro at [email protected] or by phone at 215-603-0193.
To be included on the banner you must email a print-ready copy of the company name and logo by April 1st.
