What Happened With The 4th of July Fireworks Ending
If you were down on Monday, July 4th for the 10pm firework display you would have noticed something very strange.
As with any firework show, it always ends with a big BANG.
This sometimes involves a hundred fireworks going off at once. This show though didn’t do that. It stopped about 13 minutes in and then 4 minutes later started back up.
We received many messages about what happened and a few eyewitnesses came forward.
For those who visit the beach to view the fireworks would know that there is police tape that stops you from going toward the ocean. This is here as a safety net. (aka stopping people from coming close and dangering their lives by being too close to the explosions).
According to one eyewitness, a group of kids were running towards the launch area and not stopping. (way past the safety net)
As a safety precaution, the production team has a kill switch that would bring the show to a stop if they feel safety was at risk.
In this case, they felt the need to stop the show. After the kids ran off towards Mariner’s pier, the production team would have to override the launch system and start it back up.
While this story hasn’t been 100% confirmed yet it is very plausible.
At the bottom of this article is the fireworks from the 4th of July. You will notice at the very end it just ends. Those on the boardwalk were the first to notice that the music was still going but nothing was happening. This video was filmed in North Wildwood.
