Anglesea Aleworks Gets Approved!

Anglesea Aleworks Gets Approved!

Every first Monday of the month the city of Wildwood holds its planning and zoning meeting.  Last night was the first Monday which meant that a meeting was held.

These meetings are open to the public and are held at 6 pm at Wildwood’s city hall located at 4400 New Jersey Ave.

The big topic in yesterday’s planning and zoning meeting was the application for a new brewery called “Anglesea Aleworks.”

Anglesea Aleworks submitted an application to the city a few weeks back looking to change the zoning of its location.

In full the application stated that “the undersigned has filed an application for a plan approval, variances and waivers from the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance for a change of use from a Pool Hall to a Brewery of condominium Unit 107 located in the Island Bowl building located at 3401 New Jersey Avenue.”

This location was home to Breakers Billiard Club & Bar

. This bar opened back in 2015 and saw a shutdown during the covid-19 pandemic.

In the end, this application was approved! This means we will have two breweries down here, Mudhen and Anglesea Aleworks.

There still aren’t too many details out there yet but stay tuned!
