There is a cool new sporting event coming to the Wildwoods called Beach Basketball.
Beach Basketball Is Coming To Wildwood
Beach Basketball is a modified version of basketball played in the sand. The biggest change is that you don’t have to dribble the ball and you only use one net.
This concept was invented on the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama by Philip Bryant and is now considered a worldwide sport.
On September 3rd, 4th and 5th this sport is being played on our island at Schellenger Avenue.
This three-day event includes teaching days, drills games, and music.
This is how the weekend breaks down.
Friday September 3rd – 5:00pm- 8:00pm
Introduction event – Bring the family and learn how to play this great game!
Saturday September 4th – 10:00am – 3:30pm
Training Combine, Slam Dunk, and 3 Point Contest! Try your agility at : Shooting, passing,
finishing drills, Strength, and agility (Men’s Division – Women’s Division – Junior Division)
