For those who don’t know, on Saturday at 10:30 a 911 call was placed stating that a 40’ pleasure vessel was on fire in Otten’s Harbor.

When first responders arrived they around the owner of the boat, Ed Tinsman, located at a local business waiting for medical help.

Tinsman was attempting to start his boat to move it to his summer boat slip when something exploded.

This explosion had given him severe burns to his arms, hands, legs, and stomach.

His injuries were so bad that they airlifted him to Jefferson Hospital’s ICU in Philadelphia.

It turns out, that the 40’ vessel was Tinsman’s house.

While we don’t know Ed personally, we have been told that he is the kind of person who would do anything to help someone out.

On Sunday someone created a GoFundMe Page to try and raised money to help cover expenses.

At the time of writing this story, they have an end goal of $5,000 and they are currently at $3,000.

If you are able to help out that would be amazing, if not a simple prayer goes a long way!

Wishing you a speedy recovery Ed!
