Here’s the latest breakdown of snowfall totals, timing, and conditions:

How Much Snow Are We Talking About?

Snowfall totals will vary depending on where you are:

  • Northern and Central New Jersey: Just a dusting to an inch (C-1”).
  • Trenton to Northern Camden County: Expect about 1 to 2 inches.
  • Gloucester County to Northern Salem County: You’re in for 3 to 6 inches.
  • South of Northern Salem County (including Southern NJ and Delmarva): This area will see the most, with totals ranging from 5 to 8 inches.

If you’re in South Jersey or Delmarva, brace yourself for some heavy snow during Monday morning’s commute. Some spots could see snow falling at a rate of over an inch per hour!

For areas south of Dover and extreme southeastern New Jersey, things could get complicated Monday afternoon.

Snow may mix with sleet and rain, which could make driving even more hazardous. And here’s the kicker: as temperatures drop below freezing Monday night, any mix of precipitation will freeze, leaving behind a layer of ice on top of the snow.

While winds will stay manageable during the snowfall, gusts could pick up to 25-35 mph Monday night into Tuesday.

This could lead to blowing and drifting snow, reducing visibility even after the snow stops.

Temperatures will drop below freezing Monday night and stay there until at least Friday. Wind chills in the single digits will make it feel even colder.

The biggest takeaway? Travel will be hazardous, especially during Monday morning’s snow peak. If you can stay off the roads, do it!

Stay tuned for updates, as even a small shift in the storm’s track could change how much snow you’ll see.

Bundle up, stay safe, and get ready to break out those snow shovels! Winter is officially here.
