Morey’s Piers Pushes Their Opening Date
On May 14th, the Governor of New Jersey, Phil Murphy, announced that as of May 22, 2020, Playgrounds, rides, arcades, games, water fountains, picnic areas and water play equipment are not permitted to be open.
This announcement came just after he he said that all New Jersey beaches could open for starting on May 22nd.
Morey’s Piers originally had an opening date for Easter weekend. Due to covid-19 they had first pushed back to date to Mother’s Day Weekend. Later on they again pushed it to May 22nd.
With the new order that Gov Murphy put out Morey’s Piers is forced to once again move their opening day.

Given the continuation of our Governor’s “Stay at Home,” “Non-Essential Work,” and “Travel Ban” Executive Orders, we will not be able to open Rides & Water Parks for Memorial Day Weekend 2020. Like you, all of us at Morey’s Piers are disappointed and just as ready to get back to a “near normal” as well. We await the Governor’s guidance, and once received, we will be able to formulate and announce a revised opening plan.
In keeping with the current Executive Orders, we plan to open following:
-
Curley’s Fries on Surfside Pier for Memorial Day weekend. (Take-Out Only)
