Last night around 10:35pm some parts of North Wildwood experienced some power loss. The interesting thing was that the power loss wasn’t to entire streets but scattered over a few different streets and boardwalk.
According to a questionnaire we posted online, the boardwalk lost power on 18th st (according to our friends at Steak’em-Up) , a few houses on 19th, 17th and half the street on 18th (boardwalk block), a few houses on 13th, the PNC bank on 14th, which was blaring an alarm.
While some of us were checking the website we noticed ACE (Atlantic City Electric) didn’t indicate that we had an outage and while on the phone ACE said there was no planned work in our area. The power we finally restored about 25 minutes later.
A few folks told us that their power did the same thing last week. In researching the power outage not much came up. There was a Motor Vehicle Accident at Leaming Ave but it didn’t cause any damage to a power pole.
I guess somethings will remain a mystery.
