We have been getting tons of questions about the St. Patrick’s Day festivities that is taking place in North Wildwood.

The Mayor of North Wildwood, Patrick Rosenello, put out an announcement last night to help fix any confusion.

In his letter he apologized for the confusion and explained the sequence of events.

Rosenello goes on to say that “North Wildwood NEVER intended to host our normal St. Patrick’s Day event with our Commemoration and Parade as we have done for many years.  Rather, we had been in discussions with several Irish-American organizations who had expressed an interest in hosting the event this year.”

At first they had talked about keeping the procession and parade but decided to keep the focus of this year’s St. Patrick’s Day on the religious side.

For those who are still coming down there will still be Catholic Mass to honor the Feast Day of St. Patrick. Mass will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2021 (11:00 AM) at St. Ann Church at Magnolia and Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood.

In keeping with tradition, the mass will include Pipe and Drum Brigades, Irish Music and appropriate gospel readings for the Feast of St. Patrick.

The church can hold up to 2,000 folks pre-covid, but with the current rules only 1,000 will be able to attend (socially distanced).

We hope to see you down here!
