Today we were told that the last SIP panels were installed on the roof. For those who do not know, SIP panels or Structural insulated panels (SIPs) are a high performance building system for residential and light commercial construction. The panels consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural facings, typically oriented strand board (OSB).  The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective.

Now that the last SIPs are up they can install the main roof. Below are some photos of the construction today!
