People have been asking what exactly is going on, and here’s what we know so far.

For those who may not know, Spirit Halloween is owned by Spencer Spirit Holdings and is headquartered in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, just a short drive from the Wildwoods.

The company’s flagship store is also located in Egg Harbor Township, making South Jersey an important part of the brand’s identity.

Over the years, Spirit Halloween has occasionally brought its creative marketing campaigns and content productions to Cape May County.

Some may remember the company’s popular zombie seagull decoration that generated plenty of attention online because… well its a zombie seagull. Spirit Halloween has also filmed content at Historic Cold Spring Village, using the area’s unique atmosphere as a backdrop for some of its seasonal videos and promotions.

This summer, however, the company appears to be trying something completely different.

Spirit Halloween is launching a limited-edition “Summerween” collection inspired by the hit horror franchise Terrifier. The collection blends beach season with spooky season, offering fans a chance to bring a little Halloween spirit to the shore months before October arrives.

The collection includes a variety of summer-themed merchandise such as beach bags, bucket hats, tank tops, sunglasses, shorts, and other seasonal accessories.

Spirit Halloween is promoting the line as part of its “Summer Scaries” campaign, bringing together horror fandom and summer vacation culture in a uniquely Jersey Shore way.

If you’re interested in checking out the new collection, Spirit Halloween says fans can visit the Wildwood Boardwalk near Schellenger Avenue on June 5 between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Reps from the company are expected to be on-site with merchandise and promotional activities.

As Spirit Halloween teased in its social media post: “We’re not the only ones lurking at the shore.”

With Spirit Halloween bringing Summerween to Wildwood, it looks like Halloween may be arriving at the Jersey Shore a few months early this year.
