Touring Mudhen’s Hen Houses!

Drawing inspiration from the local culture, each house at The Hen Houses is thoughtfully themed after a distinct MudHen brew, telling a story that resonates with beer enthusiasts and design aficionados alike.

For guests seeking a taste of modern colonial charm, the recently renovated MudHen Manor awaits. Alternatively, there are six cozy two-bedroom tiny homes available, each equipped with two bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, and a sleeper sofa, ensuring ample space for comfort and relaxation.

The six tiny homes have their own theme based on the brews, Bakers’ Double, Captain Doug’s, Wildwood Haze, Sea Tiger, Holly Beach and 1883. Below is an explanation of each of the cottages.

Wildwood Haze House

This vibrantly decorated house includes unique retro touches that give guests a big dose of nostalgia.

This is perfect for the enthusiastic thrill seeker who wants to time warp to when sleeping on the beach 7 days a week and partying until the morning bright was all part of those Wild Wild Wildwood Days; to the days when every night was a Saturday night.

Colorful elements, sweeping angles, and retro artwork all characterize this doo-wop-inspired home.

Bakers’ Double House

This stately home of the Hen House collection is characterized by its historical elements and is dedicated to the founders of the Wildwoods, The Baker Brothers.

Steeped with modern decor and remnants of the past, this unique space shares the journey of how the Baker Brothers transformed our five-mile island from a wild forest to the sought-out summer destination of the Wildwoods.

Captain Doug’s House

Themed after Captain Doug’s Porter, this nautical-inspired house offers an airy coastal vibe reflective of our local fishing industry.

This home is characterized by natural seaside elements and vintage remnants of the Barbara Pauline, Capt. Doug’s commercial fishing boat.

The spacious comfort of this home makes for a perfect shore getaway for anyone craving salt air and sandy toes.

Sea Tiger House

The natural shore elements mixed with its beachy ocean vibes make this house the perfect shore getaway.

The Sea Tiger house is dedicated to the patrol of men and women responsible for safeguarding our island’s beach visitors; those who prowl the shoreline always keeping a watchful eye, ready to dash into the sea like a tiger to rescue those in distress.

Holly Beach House

This dune-inspired house is reminiscent of Wildwood’s pre-development days when visitors called our five-mile island, Holly Beach.

When wild grasses surrounded our white sand beaches with ocean breezes and crashing waves. We are bringing together calming elements and harmonious beach decor that are sure to satisfy the senses and align with the soul.

With a selection of six tiny homes and the inviting MudHen Manor, The Hen Houses seamlessly blend the nostalgia of the past with the conveniences of the present.

The accommodations offer a fusion of styles, allowing guests to indulge in the rich history of the area while enjoying modern amenities and comforts.
