This year marks the 71st summer for the iconic Wildwood boardwalk tramcar. The tram car first went into service on on June 11, 1949 and only cost 10 cents to ride each way.
Just a few interesting facts about our famous tram cars. The battery packs weigh just over 2,000 pounds. On those batteries alone one tram can run up to eight hours.
For the 2019 summer season the Wildwood Tram Cars will begin service on May 3rd at 11am.
The regular fare is $3.50 one way.
