Lights, camera, action! The Wildwoods are once again another backdrop for a television show!
It’s been a busy filming year for the Wildwoods! We believe people are finally starting to see the amazing things we have to offer on the island.
This year so far we have seen an independent film, Good Stuff, shoot here in North Wildwood, QVC had their Christmas In July broadcastin the Crest, The Race of Gentlemen filmed a special on our beach and the Barefoot Country Music gave us national attention.
In the past several years we have seen many networks stop by our shores many times to film. Beachfront Bargain Hunt has been filmed here twice times, once in 2018 and 2019. A spinoff of the show, Beachfront Bargain Hunt, now called Beachfront Bargain Hunt Renovation, stopped by in 2018.
Hotel Impossible, which airs on the Travel Channel, stopped by in 2016 to film the renovation of the White Cap Motel located at 310 E 25th Ave in North Wildwood.
It’s no surprise that networks keep on coming back to our shores when we have so many amazing things to offer.
Now there is another show filming in the Wildwoods. This untitled show will air HGTV and will feature local TV Host and Designer Carrie Locklyn.
If Locklyn’s name doesn’t sound familiar then it should. She is featured on many shows such as HGTV’s “Extreme Makeover’ and the Travel Channel’s “Hotel Impossible.”
What makes Locklyn even more recognizable down here is that she was born and raised in Cape May County.
This new show she is working on will feature her work in renovating different motels and hotels in our area.
They will be filming in Cape May Country this week and if all goes well they could be back in the spring!
We wish them the best of luck!
