What’s Going With The Abandoned Islander Family Fun Park?

After we filmed the video and it was read by 11,000 folks, we got contacted by Atlantic City Electric who finally gave us our answer!

Technology speaking nothing is happening at the Islander Family Fun Park but instead something BIG is happening just North of the property.

Atlantic City Electric had rented out the space, which used to be an old dump, for a staging area for a large scale project that will start very shortly.

The projects calls for replacing four miles of poles from Middle township into the Wildwoods. These new poles will be anywhere from 60-80 feet tall and will replace the ones that had been there since 1955.

Without giving too much away, the project calls for helicopters to be flown in to move the equipment to it’s location.

We took the drone with us so that we can show you what everything looks like!
