There is a new bike rule that is coming to the Wildwoods starting this week. As of June 5th bike riders are able to stay on the boardwalk until 1pm daily!
Wildwood Boardwalk Bike Rule Change!
This extends to Tricycles, Surreys, Skateboards, Roller skates and Roller blades.
This now allows for a full island scenic bike route (5 miles) until 1pm. The scenic bike route starts Cape May National Wildlife Refuge in Wildwood Crest and runs to the beginning of JFK Blvd.
There is also a special “bikes only” lane dedicated throughout the length of North Wildwood, from 1st to 26th Avenues along Surf Avenue.
The City Engineer will also be looking into the possibility of creating a bike path through-out Wildwood to create a year-round safe space for bikers.
While biking on the boardwalk, Please keep in mind that tramcars start running at 11am.
