The BSID, “Boardwalk Special Improvement District” had officially kicked off the Wildwood Summer 2015 season on June 26th with their first Friday Night Fireworks Spectacular! If you missed the first one of the season do not worry. There are plenty of opportunities to see them every Friday the night, weather depending, through Labor Day Weekend. With the season now in swing, here is the Wildwood Entertainment Schedule for the summer of 2015. This is a list of just the BSID sponsored events.
The reason why the Wildwood’s fireworks are the best is because they sign up their fireworks with music that is played through the Wildwood Boardwalk’s sound system. Nothing is better then watching fireworks and having a soundtrack to go alone with it.
For those who want to sit on the beach and enjoyu the fireworks, they launch off of Pine Avenue Beach and the Boardwalk. Bring your favorite chair and watch the fireworks. The best part about it, is that it is completely free! If it does rain and the Wildwood boardwalk has to cancel the fireworks do not be upset! The rain date for any cancelled Friday Night Fireworks Spectacular is always the following Sunday night at 10:00pm, if needed!
Not only does the Wildwood Boardwalk have the Friday Night Fireworks Spectacular, The BSID, “Boardwalk Special Improvement District” is also sponsoring a week day parades in their Wildwood Entertainment Schedule. From Monday through Thursday nights at 7:30pm, a parade will march on down the boardwalk. The parade starts at 16th street and goes all the way down to the Wildwood Convention Center.
The bands that participate are as follow; Monday (The Cape Atlantic Irish Pipe Brigade), Tuesday (Main State Harmony Performers, Hatboro High School Marching Band, Original Hobo Band of Pitman and Caesar Rodney Band) Wednesday (Duffy Spring Band), and Thursday (Duffy String Band, Fralinger String Band, Woodland String Band and Ferko String Band).
