Flitzer’s Final Farewell at Morey’s Piers Moreys piers put out this press release on the farewell party for the Flitzer YOU’RE INVITED •When: Sunday, September 30 from 1 – 4 pm. •Where: Morey’s Surfside Pier, 2501 Boardwalk, Wildwood, NJ 08260 On Sunday, September 30 from 1 – 4 PM we will bid farewell to the beloved Flitzer roller coaster on Surfside Pier. Renowned for its quick drops and high-banked curves, the family-friendly Flitzer will make its final climb after more than 30 years of service and an accumulation of more than four million rides by coaster fans. To honor the beloved roller coaster, we are hosting a farewell party of epic proportions to “Kiss the Flitzer Goodbye.” As an ode to the ride’s 1983 installation date, Morey’s Piers is celebrating with an 80’s themed cover band, free rides for patrons, complimentary ride photos, and refreshments while supplies last. Guests are invited to dress-up in 80’s themed attire to commemorate the Flitzer and the best dressed rider will win a season pass for 2019. Members of the Morey family clad in 80’s garb will be the final Flitzer riders. WIN A 2019 SEASON PASS!
