There is a BIG congratulations going out to the new Chief of North Wildwood’s Beach Patrol, Bill Ciavarelli.
The announcement came in the form of a Facebook post on the North Wildwood’s Beach Patrol page early afternoon on Thursday, February 3rd.
The post went on to say, “Chief Ciavarelli has been an asset to the Beach Patrol for the last several decades, serving in every title from lifeguard to Captain,” said North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello.”
“I am grateful for all of the highly qualified candidates who shared their vision for the City of North Wildwood Beach Patrol.I am confident that the experience, energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the profession that Chief Ciavarelli brings to the job will best serve the Beach Patrol, and the City of North Wildwood.”
Back on December 7th long-time North Wildwood Beach Patrol Chief Tony Cavalier announced his retirement.
Cavalier had been on the North Wildwood Beach Patrol for 50 years. (since 1966)
The city started advertising the position vacancy later that month and interviewed several highly qualified applicants over the course.
Ciavarelli has been with the North Wildwood Beach Patrol for thirty-one (31) years and has served as a Captain since 2011 under retired Chief Tony Cavalier.
On a personal note, my family and I know Chief Ciavarelli very well and wish him the best of luck! He is a great guy who is a great leader on the patrol. His next 31 years will be amazing.
Be sure to always swim near a lifeguard.
The North Wildwood Beach Patrol hasn’t announced their opening positions yet but stay tuned. (that goes for Wildwood and Wildwood Crest too. We will post them all on here)
