Over the past few weeks our coast line has been experiencing rough conditions. While the passing hurricanes and storms didn’t hit us they still had direct effects on us. Some of those effects are rough waves and rip currents.
In North Wildwood those rough conditions caused some erosion and damage to an outfall pipe on 3rd avenue. In photos posted by the Instagram North Wildwood Beaches, we can see that the front two pieces of the pipe had collapsed.
In a North Wildwood City Council meeting on September 17th, an emergency repair plan was authorized but there was no word on when the repairs would take place.
