Hurricane Michael is expected to make landfall on Florida’s Panhandle Gulf Coast by Wednesday at 12pm. As of right now Hurricane Michael is a category 2 but will strengthen by Wednesday as a category 3.
Heavy rainfall from Michael could produce life-threatening flash flooding from the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend region into portions of Georgia and South Carolina.
There is some good news though for the South Jersey. The latest track maps from NOAA shows that the aftermath of the hurricane has shifted Southern. This is great as it will not bring heavy rain to our area just light showers. It will bring wind up to 15 miles per hour and some flooding in certain flood prone areas.
Though this is not a complete miss we will remind you to bring in some of your outdoor decorations or things that could go flying in wind.
