What’s Open On The Boardwalk This Weekend May 15th-17th
We have been getting a ton of questions on what will be open on the Wildwood Boardwalk this weekend. I decided to put together a go-to list of what we know so far.
If you plan on coming to the Wildwoods via Rio Grande please be prepared for some delays.
Starting Friday May 15 until late Saturday May 16, construction crews will be finishing the road for the Rio Grande Avenue Gateway Project. This will cause some traffic as some sections of the street will need to be closed off. It’s best if you enter via North Wildwood or Diamond Beach.
This weekend will be bringing the first nice beach weather in a long time. Here is what you can expect.
As of today, May 15th, the Wildwood Boardwalk is open! What does this mean?
You are able to walk, run and bike on the Wildwood Boardwalk. Be sure to follow New Jersey guidelines which says that you need to maintain the 6-foot-rule. There will be police and ambassadors on the boardwalk making sure everyone is 6-feet-apart.
They city will also be adding a new announcement that will play every 15 minutes to mind visitors about social distancing.
Restaurants on the Wildwood Boardwalk are open for business. You are only able to take the food to go. You are unable to eat in-side the restaurants.
Also just a reminder, in the state of New Jersey you MUST wear a mask while visiting any essential business. Even if you are going to pick up food you have to wear a mask.
Yesterday New Jersey Governor Murphy, announced that games, arcades and the rides are NOT able to open and will NOT be open for Memorial Day Weekend.
