Back in June, we announced that the famous coffee chain, Starbucks, would be coming to the Wildwoods.
This announcement came after months of rumors circulating that the coffee shop would be somewhere on the island. After the Starbucks opened in Cape May Court House many lost hope.
First Look at Wildwood’s NEW Starbucks
Located at 4800 Park Blvd, the corner of Rio Grande Avenue and Park Boulevard, Starbucks will take the empty lot on the corner that used to be a Texaco Gas Station.
Closing back in 2017 ago and demolished in 2019, this land was originally purchased by Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. A restaurant was proposed there but eventually, their application was withdrawn.
Popeyes instead opened up a location in Cape May Court House in the former Verizon building (20 Court House South Dennis Road).
The land was sold in November 2021 to an LLC and plans for Starbucks finally came to light in April.
After the Starbucks location passed zoning and planning we knew we had to get our hands on the blueprints and the mockup photos of this new location. Wildwood’s Starbucks will not be like the other Starbucks you have seen before.
This one will feature a smaller building with a drive-through, a walk-up pickup window, and a parking lot but no indoor seating.
According to the mockup photos and the plans submitted to the city, the building will only be big enough to house the kitchen area, a manager’s office, and an employee bathroom.
There will be outdoor seating available in the form of seven tables with chairs but that’s about it. One thing that this one won’t have is public bathrooms.
In the video below we break down the blueprints, and the mockups and give you a tour of the lot.
