Trump Plaza Demolition Video Via Drone!
The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City is now officially history.
Roughly around 9am this morning the Trump Plaza came crashing to the ground!
Trump Plaza opened on the Altantic City Boardwalk back on May 15th 1984 to a fanfare.
The new building held 91,181 square feet of gaming space and it’s down housed 906 rooms including 85 high-roller suites.
By the time 2014 started Atlantic city was hitting hard times. In just the one year the Atlantic Club, Showboat, and Revel all closed. The Trump Plaza was the last one to close that year on September 16th.
Demolition plans for the building was supposed to start in 2018 but due to funding issues it sat empty,
After some parts of the building began to fall to the ground, the mayor of Atlantic city, Marty Small, told the new owner, Icahn Enterprises, to knock down the building due to safety issues.
We did a pre-demo drone tour last week. If you would want to watch that click the link below.
